My artistic practice predominantly involves creating oil paintings on wood boards, which merge elements of artefacts, nature and the human body to materialize different aspects of feelings, thoughts and desires, transforming surfaces into psycho-sensory landscapes. I use a combination of sketches, observations and digital records to create works that examine the concept of interiority, the formation of subjectivity, and the interplay between cognition and sentience. I am interested in how the (i/)material world around us produces subjectivities, especially in the age of digital, physical and biological convergence. My works feature a variety of elements such as sunflowers, everyday objects, and inflatable bodies, which blur the line between organic and artificial, reality and fiction, agency and idleness, and desire and control.
